About

Hello, and welcome to our classroom blog! Let me introduce myself! In May of 2003 I graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Just a few months later I began my career just outside the Twin Cities in Somerset, Wisconsin, teaching third and fourth grade. In 2006 my husband Jim and I decided to move to a community more centrally located between our two families, and we landed here in Fargo! I've been fortunate to work in two school districts with great families and staff, gain a wealth of knowledge through my work on many curriculum and leadership based committees, and complete my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. I am so thrilled to be teaching fourth grade just minutes from our home.

On a more personal note...my husband Jim owns one of the area's fastest growing hardwood flooring companies, Natural Accent Hardwood Floors (www.nahfloors.com). We have been blessed with one son, who is currently beginning kindergarten and loves any activity involving a ball or superheroes. Our family loves to go for walks or play ball in the yard, relax at the lake, read, or play games. Jim and Josiah can be found at the golf course or fishing whenever they can sneak away, and I love doing everything "Martha Stewart"... sewing, organizing and decorating our home, editing and publishing our family photos online and in photobooks, cooking, and looking for ideas for all of the above (as well as my classroom) on Pinterest! I'm also a team leader for Mary Kay Cosmetics, and love having the opportunity to work with other women and teach skin care.

So glad you stopped by our little corner of the blogging world!
